Sir:
Canada , the US and EU have voluntarily abdicated from being leading
defenders of international law to defenders of war criminals such as Agim
Ceku and blackmailers who threaten violence in Kosovo if they do not get
independence from Serbia. It is sad that Russia alone, nowadays, defends the
UN Charter, the UN Resolution 1244 for Kosovo, i.e. the international law by
resisting to compromise on invulnerability of borders of a sovereign state
of Serbia.
Robert Austin's advice [ "Play on without the Russians", By ROBERT AUSTIN,
August 1, 2007 ] to grant independence to an ethnic group who happens to be
in majority on a geographic area of a sovereign state, lacks on integrity
and borders on calls for anarchy and world disorder.
