Kosovo's Trojan horses
Per David Binder's experts ("Kosovo's grim future," Op-Ed, Aug. 29),
Kosovo's youths do not have a "future and are therefore ready for violence,"
and "the only remedy is to open Northern Europe's gates to young Kosovans
seeking jobs."
That is wrong. The September 11 bombers all had jobs. Osama bin Laden is a
millionaire. Poverty does not necessarily lead to violence.
The author and the study describe Kosovo as a "Mafia society" with
criminality "the sole career choice." This "only remedy," to "open Northern
Europe's gates," is like sending thousands of Trojan horses to Northern
Europe.
