Our staunch support of the Kosovo Albanians' independence intending to
strip Serbia of its territory continues unrelenting. The 78-day incessant
bombings of Serbia in 1999, which we instigated with our allies under the
guise of NATO, clearly exhibited that we intended to portray the Serbs as
the enemies. Historically speaking, the Serbs have a proven record as our
uncompromising allies in both world wars, and have always sided and
supported our values system. The present and the past U.S. Administrations
endeavors in amplifying the Kosovo problem is mind bugling, particularly
when right here at home we can have the same parallel existing in our
Southwest region. That some day may present the same kind of pain the Serbs
now have in Kosovo.

Further, the taunting from the West urging the proclamation of one
sided independence is irresponsible and may precipitate into violence, a new
Balkan war, and certainly into another ethnic cleansing of the remaining
Serb minority. In our quest to create democracies and multicultural
societies, our example in Kosovo is to the contrary. By our actions, we are
openly advocating an ethnically pure Albanian state in Kosovo based on
crime, which we are sure to regret in the very near future.
