NAFTA Is Fascism
December 21, 2007 (LPAC)--As was debated between LaRouche and fascist economist Abba Lerner in 1971, that free trade is fascism, today is garnering its effects. Most evident was the explicit necessity of imposing a fascist banker's puppet as President of Mexico, so that while the full implementation free trade is had, the social chaos, due to starvation, will force police state measures. The police state hoped for by fascist bankers like Felix Rohatyn, will be attempted as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) enters its final stage on New Year's Day, a day when the last tariffs and quotas on corn, beans, milk, and sugar will be lifted in full. Mexican farmers have already declared a "state of war" against it and according to press reports, the national government is working overnight to prevent a social upheaval begining next year, while Max Correa, leader of the Cardenista Peasants Central, warned that some peasants could go as far as "to take the way of the arms and the guerrilla," to prevent the bankruptcy of six million producers of corn, beans and milk - their estimate of the impact of the full implementation of NAFTA. Correa demanded that the Mexican government re-negotiate NAFTA to totally exclude corn, beans, and milk. Víctor Suárez Carrera, from the National Council of Peasant Organizations, announced that his group will build a "human barrier" along the US/Mexico border, and the PRI-linked National Peasant Confederation will start a national mobilization, street protests and seizing federal offices. Mexican farmers have been deprived of every single protection under NAFTA since its implementation in 1994. They were driven off the land, and the result was a sharp drop in living standards, and a dramatic increase in the rate of undocumented immigration from Mexico to the US. At the Cardenista Peasants Central national convention this year, EIR's Dennis Small, who was a special guest, presented LaRouche's national economic development programs for the whole of North America. http://www.larouchepac.com/news/2007/12/21/nafta-fascism.html
