Why Kosovo should NOT be independent and recognized... it is NOT too late to act!
IF YOU LIVE IN THE WEST SOMEWHERE, FAR AWAY FROM KOSOVO, AND THINK THAT THIS ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU, READ ON AND SEE FOR YOURSELF! IT HAS SO MUCH TO DO WITH YOU! PLEASE READ AND LET OTHERS READ IT AS WELL. The recognition of Kosovo, without reaching a fair and compromise solution through negotiations, has violated key principles and foundations of International Law: The UN Charter that protects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of UN member states and Serbia is a UN member state, The UN Security Council Resolution 1244 that guarantees the sovereignty of Serbia and not the independence of Kosovo, the Helsinki Final Act of 1975 that deals with the rights of sovereign democratic countries and Serbia is one of them, the findings of the Badinter Commission for the former Yugoslavia, that concluded that only the Republics of the former Yugoslavia may have international borders, and not the Provinces, and Kosovo is a Province of Serbia... The recognition of Kosovo has also violated the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia. The Serbian Constitution is as important to the Serbian people as the US Constitution is to the American people. This unilateral independence was proclaimed in a rush, by an interim body, under a foreign military presence. Another reason to doubt the legality of the whole process. This will open new crises in betwen 30 and 50 regions worldwide, that all want independence and/or international recognition, and this will affect many so-called "civilized" Western countries. From the Basque region to Corsica to Quebec to Turskish Cyprus... to the various regions of Asia, Africa and Latin America. The Pandora's Box has been opened and the world will soon be in a much bigger mess than it is now. This phantom so-called "state" of Kosovo is the only one in the world where nobody knows the exact population of it. It is estimated to be from 1.8 to 2.4 million. The natality rate of the Albanians is the highest in Europe... When Kosovo, God forbid, enters the EU, imagine all those countless poor Albanians just rushing into EU countries for jobs... A UN study shows that there are 460,000 unregistered weapons in Kosovo. The Kosovo Liberation Army - KLA or UCK, was a terrorist organization - the US President George Bush classified it as such in 2001. Many Kosovo Albanians, as mostly Muslims, have strong ties with the Al Qaeda of Osama Bin Laden. Terrorist training camps exist in Albania, and will probably soon also exist in Kosovo, if they do not exist there already... So, if America is really fighting the so-called war on global terror, it should not have encouraged, financed and recognized the jihadist statelet of Kosovo. More than 23,000 Kosovo Albanians have celebrated "independence" of Kosovo in jails across the EU. Their "specialties" include snatching purses, bank robberies, car thefts, drug trafficking, drug dealing, arms smuggling, prostitution and human market... The Albanian mafia controls over 40% of the entire European drug market. So, if you catch your kid doing drugs, ask yourself, is that coming from the Albanians, because there is a big chance that it is... More than 70% of Kosovo's Albanians are unemployed. Corruption and poverty are so enormous, that Kosovo will not be able to function as a "state" on its own for many decades to come. They are a tryly dependent independent country. The West will have to baby-sit them for years. Would you like your hard earned money to go for the support of these guys, for years and decades? Kosovo is the European "black hole" when it comes to a gross disrespect of human rights, primarily of the non-Albanians: 6,250 Orthodox graves have been desacrated. 150+ Serbian churches and monasteries destroyed, many from the medieval times, some btw are protected by the UNESCO as the world's cultural heritage. 200,000 Serbs have been expelled from the land on which they have lived for centuries. Several thousand Serbs are still missing. Rapes are a daily occurence. In some towns of Kosovo, only a handful of mostly old Serbs still remain, and they face daily harassment, humiliation and uncertainty regarding their lives and their property... In some cases, Serbs live in isolated pockets or ghettos, and their freedom of movement is severely limited. Jews, Roma and other non-Albanian populations are also at great risk, and so is the cultural heritage of the Serbs and all other non-Albanians. Kosovo is not just 15% of Serbian state territory. It is not just the fact that the property in Kosovo, such as factories, mines, roads, schools, hospitals, bridges, other infrastructure, etc, but also the property underneath the soil of Kosovo (lignite for example) is worth 220 BILLION USD. That property belongs to Serbia, and nobody else. It is not just the fact that the land and deed papers show that the state of Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church are the rightful owners of 2/3 of Kosovo. It is not just the fact that Kosovo has never been a state on its own, and never under Albanian control, except during Hitler's and Mussolini's "Greater Albania" of WW 2. It is not just the fact that Kosovo was the heart of the Serbian medieval statehood, the cradle of the Serbian Orthodox Church, history, myths, epic poems, culture - in short, of the Serbian identity... It is not just one of these things. IT IS ALL OF THE ABOVE. Snatching Kosovo away from Serbia is wrong! FOR THESE AND OTHER REASONS, YOU MUST SAY NO TO YOUR GOVERNMENT'S PLANNED OR DONE RECOGNITION OF KOSOVO. DON'T DO IT FOR SERBIA. DO IT FOR JUSTICE. DO IT FOR WORLD PEACE, INTERNATIONAL LAW AND ORDER. EUROPE DOES NOT NEED A SECOND ALBANIA, SINCE IT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE FIRST ONE. EUROPE DOES NOT NEED ANOTHER AL QAEDA STATE, ANOTHER ROGUE, CRIMINAL STATE WHICH WILL ONLY PRODUCE PROBLEMS, A STATE THAT WILL GET MORE DRUGS AND AL QAEDA CLOSER TO YOUR HOME. SO, DON'T DO THIS FOR SERBIA. DO IT FOR YOU.
