GRACANICA -- More than a thousands Kosovo Serbs continued with their daily
protests in Gracanica today.

They rallied in support of some 150 suspended fellow Serbs employed with the
Kosovo police, KPS, who demand to return to work, but under UNMIK's command.

The participants and speakers said they were "for the last time" calling on
several Serbs taking part in the Kosovo institutions to leave, and stop
providing legitimacy for the quasi-state of Kosovo.

"Instead of listening to the call of the people, these so-called Serb
representatives

have recently started calling this protest's organizers threatening that
they will file criminal complaints against them," the gathering heard.

The demonstrators also said local Radio Gracanica has found itself under
particular pressure and is also receiving threats because it reports from
the daily protests.

Organizers ironically sent a message to the members of the Serb Liberal
Party, who are participating in the government and assembly in Pristina, "to
do their jobs", and that they will no longer be called on to leave these
institutions.

The party in question is the only political organization gathering Serbs in
the province that is taking part in the Kosovo institutions since ethnic
Albanians declared secession in February.

The demonstrators in Gracanica also took a protest walk today, carrying
banners reading, "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia", and, "This is Serbia".

During the rally, KFOR troops and Kosovo police blocked the traffic on the
Pristina-Gnjilane road that passes through the enclave.
