BELGRADE -- Vojislav Koštunica says that the coalition around the Democrats
(DS) has "weak policy and big propaganda".

The outgoing prime minister, and the leader of the Democratic Party of
Serbia (DSS), also warned today that the rival coalition led by President
Boris Tadic, which includes the DS, G17 Plus, LSV and SPO, might be "hiding
the intention to recognize Kosovo behind that propaganda".
"Our evaluation – that the new coalition forged by Canak, the DS and G17
Plus has weak policy and strong propaganda – was confirmed by

Koštunica in a statement forwarded to Tanjug.
"There is a rule: when someone resorts to such propaganda and intimidation
of citizens, authors of this propaganda are trying to cover something up,"
said the premier, adding that "the composition of the Canak, DS, G17 Plus
coalition and the statement by the coalition leaders that they 'see with
their own eyes that Kosovo is independent' perhaps indicate that, in fact,
this major propaganda is a smokescreen for recognizing independence of
Kosovo as the first NATO state, if they win".
Koštunica also believes that "it is not by chance that Boris Tadic had
chosen Canak and the G17 Plus to be their warrants of a hollow slogan that
they would never recognize Kosovo."
"I would like to caution on time about a possible real goal of the
propaganda pursued by the coalition made up of Canak, the DS and G17,"
underscored Koštunica.
"America has used force and failed to make a large number of countries
recognize the false state of Kosovo. A strong majority of countries and
humanity recognize Serbia within its legitimate internationally recognized
borders."
"That is why America will increase its pressure on certain parties in Serbia
to sign some sort of an agreement, most probably with the EU, and have
Serbia recognize Kosovo's independence," warned Koštunica.
Serbia will hold early parliamentary and local elections on May 11.
