Serbia rejects criticism from UN war crimes tribunal Released : Thursday, June 05, 2008 5:45 AM BELGRADE, Serbia-Serbia has rejected a U.N. court's accusations that it has not done enough to arrest four war crimes fugitives. Serbian government minister Rasim Ljajic said Thursday that the assessment by The Hague-based tribunal's chief prosecutor was "incorrect." Prosecutor Serge Brammertz says in a report to the U.N. Security Council that four Serb fugitives sought by his court are "within reach of the Serbian authorities." The report released Wednesday will be considered by EU officials as they decide whether to establish closer ties with Belgrade. The fugitives include former Bosnian Serb political leader Radovan Karadzic and ex-military commander Gen. Ratko Mladic. They are both wanted on genocide charges.
