KOMMERSANT (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) June 05, 2008 Moscow Calls to Investigate Serbs Abductions, Organs Trade in Kosovo Russia is by far not satisfied with the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and insists on investigating the cases when the Albanians had abducted the Serbs and traded their organs and which were described by Carla Del Ponte, the ex-chief prosecutor for war crimes in former Yugoslavia. We consider the state of affairs at ICTY unsatisfactory, Russia's Envoy to the UN Vitaly Churkin announced during the meeting of Security Council dedicated to the reports of ICTY and of the International Tribunal for Ruanda (ITR). Churkin's speech is available at the official web of the RF Foreign Ministry. We expect the Tribunal to deliver a detailed report on the actions taken in the wake of shocking denunciation made by Carla Del Ponte, ex-chief prosecutor for war crimes in former Yugoslavia, and covered up until recently. And the current report proved no exception, Churkin said. According to Russia's official, the comments voiced at the April 16 briefing of ICTY are hardly acceptable. It looks like that, under the different pretext, the Tribunal simply ignores such serious charges as the large-scale violent take-out of human organs. . <http://geo.yahoo.com/serv?s=97359714/grpId=14871632/grpspId=1705043917/msgI d=34831/stime=1212697065/nc1=5191953/nc2=4836041/nc3=5202321> __,_._,___
