Kosovo 'Not Lobbying for Recognition'
By Labinot Lutolli
[Excerpts]
Three months after declaring independence, Kosovo has
only been recognised by 43 United Nations member
states.
[A]nalysts and other politicians in Kosovo blame the
government for not outlining a national platform for
lobbying and instead opting for private one-to-one
visits to countries to seek recognition.

of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe, William Walker who served in Kosovo during the
1998-1999 conflict, told authorities in Pristina that
he was able to lobby in many Latin American countries
for Kosovo.

barely knows dragging his suitcase alone from the
airport and meeting officials from another country to
seek recognition. What kind of impression will those
officials get?"
