FM protests to Macedonia over demarcation

BELGRADE -- Macedonian Ambassador Aleksandar Vasilevski has been handed
a strongly-worded protest note after Skopje resumed work on demarcating
its border with Kosovo.

According to the Serbian Foreign Ministry, such demarcation is in
flagrant breach of the 2001 agreement on state frontiers between Serbia
and Macedonia.

The ministry says that by starting demarcation of borders with Serbia
adjacent to Kosovo, through cooperation with illegal Priština
institutions, the Macedonian side has shown that "it does not respect
the Republic of Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and does
not respect the Republic of Serbia as a party to the agreement."
