BELGRADE, Serbia-Former Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has
criticized the arrest of Radovan Karadzic, and says the U.N. war
crimes tribunal in The Hague is illegitimate.

Kostunica, a nationalist, was accused by rivals of blocking the
capture of war criminals during his two terms in office. He has not
made any public appearances since Karadzic's arrest on Monday.

In a brief interview with the newspaper Vecernje Novosti published
Wednesday, Kostunica said the court in The Hague "no longer has
legitimacy" because of what he called an anti-Serb bias.
