Rogozin: We do not accept lessons from those who killed Serbs

August 11, 2008

Russia does not intend to accept lessons from those who in 1999 killed
Serbian citizens and destroyed its civilian infrastructure – stated
Russian Ambassador with NATO Dmitriy Rogozin. At the time, NATO assessed
that Slobodan Milosevic applies violence against Kosmet Albanians, but
it decided not only to bomb the Serb troops in Kosmet but the entire
territory of Serbia including bridges, hospitals, TV stations and state
institutions ‘ said the Russian Ambassador. Pointing that several
thousands of civilians were killed during the air strike against Serbia,
Rogozin emphasized that this is exactly the difference between NATO and
Russia that limited its actions in Georgia strictly to military targets.
Those who said nothing about thousands of Serb victims in 1999 do not
have any right now to give moral lessons – underlined Rogozin.
