Agim Ceku is strong supporter of Kosovo region’s integration in NATO: political
scientist Kahif Bakiu
Sofia - General Agim Ceku is not an ordinary commander in the Kosovo Liberation
Army. He is a big personality both in Kosovo and the Balkans’ political life.
He has a clear vision and is one of strongest supporters of Kosovo region’s
integration in NATO, political scientist Kahif Bakiu said for FOCUS News Agency.
He had paid visits to Bulgaria at the invitation of his friend, former foreign
minister Solomon Passy.
[Passy pushed for Bulgaria's NATO membership as an MP while his nation was
still in the Warsaw Pact. In fact in 1990 he was the founding President and CEO
of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, an 'NGO' that lobbied for NATO membership.
See his plans to replicate the model in Kosovo, below.]
They have worked for a long time in two key directions - the integration of
Kosovo into Euro-Atlantic structures and in particular the establishment of an
Atlantic Club in Kosovo.
