Thaci's car stoned in Haradinaj territory
PRISTINA: Several people used rocks to attack a line of cars that
transported Hashim Thaci near Decani last night.
The Kosovo Albanian prime minister was not injured in the incident, it was
announced. Several cars were damaged.
Kosovo police, KPS, said that three persons were arrested, while unconfirmed
reports said that gunshots were also heard in the area at the time of the
incident.
The stoning took place after an election campaign gathering of Thaci's PDK
party.
The provincial government condemned the attack in the strongest terms, it
was reported from Pristina.
Decani is seen as an important stronghold of the Ramush Haradinaj-led AAK
party.
Thaci's party accused Haradinaj of directly inciting and organizing last
night's attack, Croatia's state news agency Hina reported.
