Danish peacekeeper's residence attacked in Kosovo's north

NATO in Kosovo says a residence housing Danish peacekeepers was attacked in
the Serb-dominated north. No one was injured.

Maj. Michael Kotting, the spokesman for NATO peacekeepers in Kosovo known as
KFOR, says a window was broken in Tuesday's attack "directed against the
house of a Danish liaison monitoring team." The teams patrol the area to
keep in touch with minority Serbs and they use the residence occasionally.

Kosovo's police said a letter threatening Danish peacekeepers "for siding
with Albanians" was found at the house. Shots were reported in the area late
Monday. KFOR could not confirm the claim.

Denmark is among 68 countries that recognize Kosovo's independence.
