American Airlines: Mystery odor sickened LA-bound flight crew in Charlotte
 |

|
American Airlines on Saturday said maintenance crews were investigating an odor
that sickened crew members on a Los Angeles-bound flight from Charlotte before
passengers boarded the plane Friday night. The odor remained a mystery, as the
airline said crews continued their inspection. Six crew members and a gate
agent at Charlotte Douglas International Airport were taken to the hospital
Friday night after inhaling something, according to MEDIC. The people were in a
plane when they inhaled an “unknown odor,” causing six people to experience
minor symptoms and a seventh to have serious symptoms, MEDIC told local press.

American Airlines announces direct flight from Santa Fe to LAX starting this
fall
 |

|
Getting more flights to the Santa Fe Regional Airport after the first phase of
a major terminal expansion was a big goal for former airport manager James
Harris, who left the city last month. His work is paying off. American Airlines
announced Thursday it will be adding a daily direct flight to Los Angeles
International Airport starting Oct. 6. That follows the start in late May of
flights between the Santa Fe airport’s Jet Center and the Dallas Love Field
Airport by air carrier JSX, a public charter jet service. Carina Julig/Sante Fe
