| As the Federal Aviation Administration looks to put the brakes on a big increase in summer flights at O’Hare International Airport, it’s also being put in the awkward position of refereeing the city’s new use-it-or-lose-it policy for gates used to park aircraft. Flights to SMX began in October 2025.
