One can easily find out what the problem is by starting "xsane" on the
command line. In the moment when the scan is ready and sent to the
printer an error message appears on the console where XSane was started.
The message says that "-#" option for the number of copies is not
supported by "kprinter"
==> Suggestion for XSane: Let such error messages appear in a dialog
window, so that the user will see them.
==> Suggestion for kprinter: Accept standard "lpr" options as
"-#<number>" and "-n <number>" for the number of copies. XPP accepts
nearly all options of "lpr" and "lp".
==> Workaround for you: In XSane go into "Preferences"/"Setup", choose
the "Copy" tab, use "kprinter" as printing command and "-o copies=" as
copy number option. This option is the frontend-independent copy number
option of the CUPS library (will not work when you use KPrinter with LPRng).
Happy copying.
