I have an HP LaserJet 1100 on the parallel port and an HP PSC 750
(USB-only) on the USB. They both do not print during boot of all 8.2
beta versions, including beta4. On beta4 I used only CUPS as the printer
spooler. On the other betas I used both CUPS and LPRng. Which printing
system are you using? In case of CUPS try to clean up by doing
service cups stop
rm -f /var/spool/cups/*
rm -f /var/spool/cups/tmp/*
service cups start
Do the printers still print when rebooting now?
If the printers print on boot, does it happen before or after CUPS was
started? If you cannot see when CUPS is started, try "linux-nonfb" in
the boot menu.
