Can you try to print with "xpp", click on the "Options" button, choose
the "Text" tab, adjust margins and font size, save your options, and
then print? Then the problem should disappear also for printing with the
"lpr" command. Doing this as "root" makes the settings system-wide.
Config files are /etc/cups/lpoptions for the system and ~/.lpoptions for
every user.
