Hiya, folks.

Our friends in the arts community are calling on cyclists to contribute to a
public art awareness brainstorming meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27,
at the Eyedrum. A bike friendly town is probably an art friendly town,
too! Of course, the shop will be open tomorrow from 7 pm until 10 pm.

Two wheels good!

**Calling all Artists, Activists, & Community Leaders**
meeting at Eyedrum 7pm on Tuesday November 27th 2007

The cultural diversity of Atlanta's streets need *your* help to raise
awareness of Public Art in the minds of the general public and government
officials. If you use public sidewalks, parks or engage the city as an
urban explorer, pedestrian, jogger, cyclist, designer, architect, citizen,
mayor, you should be concerned about public art.

Current situation:
+The Public Art landscape in Atlanta is outdated with many voids.
+There is little effort from the city to enforce ordinances
which build funds for the creation of Public Art.
+A group of arts organizations and key individuals are preparing to take
legal action and enforce positive action for a richer public art landscape
in Atlanta.

Current request:
+Volunteers to spread the word about who wants Public Art and why; show the
uninformed what they are missing.
+Actions to bring the issue to the forefront of the media and local
politicians
+Local community groups to seek solutions amongst each other to make Public
Art possible

Our campaign will be built from ideas generated in this meeting. Please
consider how you and organizations you represent can take part.
