**************************************** Army of One "One man with courage makes a majority." - Andrew Jackson **************************************** Happy Independence Day, Mudbloods! "Americans have thrived in the melting pot. We haven't been a pure-bred strain since Capt. John Smith married Pocahontas. Intermarriage and immigration make us a lumpy and colorful stew. . . . We celebrate all of us on the Fourth of July. While our original independence meant the English here separated from the English over there, a lot of the ocean blue has passed under a lot of ships since then." - Columnist Suzanne Fields **************************************** Rebuttal from a Knuckle-Dragger "Please convey to 'Bill' that he must be blind or part black to take such a stupid position. Miscegenation is the worst thing that can happen to America. In general, East Asians (Orientals) are 3% more intelligent than whites; whites are 10% more intelligent than Hispanics and 15% more intelligent than blacks. This is a genetic condition. No amount of culturing will change it. Mixing blacks with other races will dumb-down the gene pool. "Kindly note that neither American-Hispanic mestizos, Island-Hispanic Mulattoes, nor African blacks have ever evolved a superior civilization, and they never will. All that will happen by blending them together is to make the smartest dumber, and that will corrupt and destroy the civilization we have been enjoying. "...What sane parents would want their white daughters to socialize with black males, knowing that some percentage of them will marry or have sex with black males and produce dumber children as a result? And socialize, they will. Senior proms and numerous other social occasions are designed for romantic expression between boys and girls, and romance is all about sex and marriage. "Schools are teaching children to be color blind, but not to exercise common sense in dating and mating. America needs to return to the common sense standards of old by prohibiting marriages and pregnancies that will dumb down the gene pool, regardless of race. What right do people have to procreate children they know will be less able, particularly since the most able children will be needed to perpetuate and improve our civilization? "Gene-blind procreation of blacks with other races is tantamount to shooting the resulting children with a ray gun that makes them stupid and unable to evolve a superior civilization." - News & Views reader Bob Hurt of Clearwater, FL (Editor's Note: No, this is not a belated April Fool's joke. People like this actually still exist...AND VOTE. But that's the great thing about the country whose independence we celebrate today. Even bone-headed, stone-age morons who really ARE polluting the gene pool have the right to voice their opinions...no matter how stupid. God bless America!) **************************************** These Colors Don't Run "There's people there (in Iraq) that would like to run us out of there, create the conditions where we get nervous and decide to leave. We're not going to get nervous, and we're not leaving until we accomplish the task." - President George Bush, 7/2/03 ***************************************** Priceless Not too long ago, there was a photograph of some anti-American goofball setting himself on fire as he tried to torch an American flag. I know, I know. You shouldn't laugh at someone's pain. I did anyway. Well, maybe it wasn't exactly a laugh. More like a sense of "serves you right" or "got what you deserve." Couldn't help but experience the same feelings while reading that a bunch of Islamic wing nuts were killed on Wednesday while gathered in a "Bomb-Making 101" class in a mosque in Iraq. Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people. In the immortal words of Nelson Muntz from the "Simpsons" - Haa-ha! ***************************************** To All the Fools I've Loved Before "Country music singer Willie Nelson threw his political support behind Presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich on Wednesday. . . . '...I will be doing all I can to raise his profile with voters,' said Nelson, who endorsed Green Party candidate Ralph Nader in 2000 and also plans to hold concerts to raise much-needed funds for the Kucinich race." - Talon News, 7/3/03 ***************************************** Banging the War Drums Anti-war Democrat presidential candidate and McGovernite wannabe Howard Dean has done a triple-back-flip-with-a-two-and-a-half-twist. The man who got his traction as a candidate by rabidly opposing U.S. military action in Iraq is now calling for...get this...military action in Liberia. Unbelievably, Dean contends that there's no inconsistency in his new-found hawkish position because the two situations are completely different. We should send the troops to Liberia because, "There is an imminent threat of serious human catastrophe" there. As opposed, we assume, to the picnics they were having in Iraq under Saddam Hussein. I tell ya, these Democrats do say the stupidest things. I wonder is Mike Dukakis is finished with that army helmet? ***************************************** French Endorsement French President Jacques Chirac's wife is a big fan of she-who-shall-not-be-named, the junior senator from New York who used to be First Lady. Mrs. Chirac told TF1 television, "There are a lot of women who hope one day she'll run for the presidency of the United States and that she'll win." Responded James Taranto of Best of the Web: "Given the low esteem in which most Americans now hold their erstwhile ally, this may be one endorsement Hillary would prefer to do without. Then again, one can hardly expect Mrs. Chirac to have done otherwise. After all, the French are always encouraging people to run." Touch. ***************************************** Song in Their Hearts "Republicans are looking forward to next year's elections with a song in their hearts and a smile on their faces. They were happy when Nancy Pelosi became the leader of the House Democrats, and they are even happier about Howard Dean's momentum in the Democratic presidential primaries. They are happy about every sign that the Democratic party is lurching leftward, since they think a left turn would create the possibility for a Republican landslide. It will be 1972 all over again." - Columnist Ramesh Ponnuru ***************************************** Is This Hate Speech, Or What? "Bullets flew in the culture wars last week. . . . It wasn't a good week for pigs like (Tennessee Sen. Bill) Frist, who make careers snorting around in the slop and seeking out hot, divisive issues that will inflame the bozos and make a mockery of sensible debate. With their backs against the wall because of the Supremes' opinions on affirmative action and homosexuality, they had to do something, especially after losing one of their team members in Strom Thurmond." - Nashville Scene editorial, 7/3/03 ***************************************** TSA: Taking Shoes Away "I would be the last to quibble with reasonable safety precautions. But taking off your shoes and having perfect strangers demand permission to grope you if any item of metal in your clothing sets off the red lights - women are the primary victims of this particular indignity - somehow doesn't seem to fit the bill. Something as harmless as a plastic cup with water aroused deep suspicions during my family's most recent flight." - Columnist Helle Dale ***************************************** Screwing Soldiers for Political Profit Back in April, the House voted unanimously to defer student loan payments for soldiers engaged in hostile military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ever since, the bill has been tied up in the Senate. Now we know why: presidential politics. Whether you call it a "hold" or an "objection to unanimous consent," the fact is Democrat presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards (D-Trial Lawyers) has single-handedly bottled up the legislation in a vain effort to get his name added to the bill in hopes of boosting his presidential bona fides among military voters. As Senate rules allow, Edwards efforts have been clouded in anonymity and secrecy until this week, when the Washington Times blew his cover. The campaign is now bailing water faster than she-who-shall-not-be-named can say "vast right-wing conspiracy." BRUSHFIRE ALERT: It is nothing short of obscene that "Pretty Boy" Edwards is willing to put the screws to service men and women in order to advance his ego-driven political ambition. He should remove his "hold" on this legislation IMMEDIATELY. Of course, his congressional offices are closed for the Independence Day holiday. But I contacted his campaign office and they told me somebody would be answering phones THERE today. So before heading to the beach or throwing a few hot dogs on the grill, why not pick up the phone and make a quick call to the Edwards for President headquarters and tell 'em exactly how you feel about his shenanigans. That number would be (919) 785-1900. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed in their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is 'needed' before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' interests, I shall reply that I was informed their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can." - Barry Goldwater, "The Conscience of a Conservative" *********************************** How to Subscribe If you know someone who might like to receive News & Views, you can sign 'em up at: http://www.chuckmuth.com.
