YOURE NO GOOD SINGER GETS THE BOOT

As youve probably read by now, Aladdin Hotel & Casino President Bill Timmins kicked
singer Linda Ronstadts sorry butt to the curb Saturday night after she infuriated a
concert audience by calling Bush-whacking crock-umentary filmmaker Michael Moore a
great American patriot and urged them to go see his Fahrenheit 9/11 movie.
According to the Associated Press, Timmins said he didn't allow Rondstadt back in her
luxury suite and she was escorted off the property. Timmins also said Ronstadt was
being 86ed permanently. As long as I'm here, she's not going to play," he told AP.

In our book, its Timmins whos the great American patriot!

BRUSHFIRE ALERT: Now...you just KNOW the beautiful people of Hollywood and their
liberal cohorts in Washington are going to come after Timmins with everything theyve
got. Theyll demand an apology, sensitivity training, boycotts and Lord knows what
else. Hes going to come under ENORMOUS pressure and criticism from the left...so he
could probably use some words of encouragement and support.

I called the hotel this morning and they advised that any comments you may have
regarding the decision to toss Ronstadt out on her ear should be directed to: [EMAIL

BTW: The Aladdin was completely rebuilt a couple years ago and is one of the newest
hotel/casinos on the Strip. Its also, to the best of my knowledge, one of only two
major resorts on the Strip which is NON-UNION. So if you were thinking of making a
trip out to Vegas in the near future, you just might want to check em out. Their

THE GIRLIE MEN OF CALIFORNIA

This is one for the ages. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, delivering a
speech at a shopping mall in Ontario, California on Saturday, lashed out at the
Democrats who are delaying the state budget by catering to special interests. Here's
what he said: If they don't have the guts to come up in front of you and say 'I don't
want to represent you, I want to represent those special interests , the unions, the
trial lawyers...if they don't have the guts, I call them girlie men.

Girlie men! Can there be anything worse?

Immediately, liberals in California were up in arms, accusing the Governator of being
blatantly homophobic, and insulting to women and gays. Poor babies...they're offended.
Too bad. Schwarzenegger's spokesman said that if people are complaining about this,
they're making his point. Somehow I don't think Arnold gives a rip. Come to think
abut it...neither do I.

ARNOLD AINT BACKING DOWN

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is taking some heat this week for mockingly
calling Democratic lawmakers girlie men in a speech, but a spokeswoman for the
governor said he wouldn't apologize. The zinger was tossed out at a rally on
Saturday, where the Republican governor blamed state Democrats for delaying the state
budget by catering to special interests. . . . The governor used it as an effective
way to convey wimpiness, said spokeswoman Margita Thompson. Politicians are wimps
because they are letting the special interests push them around. When asked whether
he would apologize, Ms. Thompson said, It was meant to convey a point. He conveyed
it, and it's over."

BRUSHFIRE ALERT: Alright, you know the drill. Heres Gov. Schwarzeneggers website
address where you can go to send him an email message: http://www.govmail.ca.gov

HIGH COST OF LIBERALISM & COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATISM

Everybody complains about pork, but members of Congress keep spendingbecause voters
do not throw them out of office for doing so. Therotten system in Congress will
change only when the American people change their beliefs about the proper role of
government in oursociety. Too many members of Congress believe they can solve
alleconomic problems, cure all social ills, and bring about worldwidepeace and
prosperity simply by creating new federal programs. We mustreject unlimited
government and reassert the constitutional rule of lawif we hope to halt the spending
orgy.

- Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas)

VALUING VALUES

I know John Kerry shares my values. I know that John Kerry shares your values. I
know that John Kerry shares John Edwards' values, who also, by the way, shares my
values. I know they both share your accountant's values, your butcher's values, your
mechanic's values. If a Martian showed up from outer space, they'd share its values,
too. They're just really into value sharing.

"I know that because they say so. In speeches, in rapid responses, in interviews.
Kerry and Edwards remind us these days how darn tootin' chock full of values they
really are. They've got heartland values, middle-class values and even conservative
values, according to themselves. They are to values what Donald Trump is to gilt:
they've got it; you're gonna see it.

"Of course, if Kerry really shared our values, he probably wouldn't have to tell us so
every minute, and once, just once, he might actually say what the values we share
actually are.

GEE, YA THINK THIS MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING?

The sun is burning hotter than usual, offering a possible explanation for global
warming that needs to be weighed when proceeding with expensive efforts to cut
emissions of greenhouse gases, Swiss and German scientists say. The sun has been at
its strongest over the past 60 years and may now be affecting global temperatures,
said Sami Solanki, the director of the renowned Max Planck Institute for Solar System
Research in Gottingen, Germany, who led the research.

HOW TO FIND A SENATORIAL CANDIDATE IN ILLINOIS

Our proposed solution of the Illinois GOP. Draft Ted Nugent? Pick primary loser Jim
Oberweis? Go with kaleidoscope fondler Andrea Grubb Barthwell? Run Coach Ditka's pet
dog? No! We've got a much better idea for the Illinois Republican Party leaders in
their ongoing -- and embarrassing -- effort to find a replacement nominee for US
Senate.

Hey, when life gives us lemons ... sell 'em on eBay! They should simply auction off
the (U.S. senatorial nomination) on eBay to the highest bidder. At least, that way,
the state party's coffer would be full and they could spend the money on other races
that actually mattered. There is some precedent for this, as billionaire oil heir
David Koch gave over $1 million to the Libertarian Party in 1980 in a deal that made
him their VP nominee.

KIDS & THE SANCTITY OF HETEROSEXUAL MARRIAGE

Veteran rocker Phil Collins will become a dad for the fifth time. His wife is
expecting their second child together next spring. The Grammy and Oscar winner, 53,
has a 3-year-old son Nicholas with his current spouse, Orianne Cevey, 30, and is the
father of three other children from two previous marriages.

THE AMERICAN WAY

Driving out west these past two weeks I noticed literally thousands of motorcycles.
The only time people would put on their helmets was during rainstorms. Hey .. I'm with
them. They shouldn't have to wear helmets if they don't want to. By the same token ...
if they suffer serious injuries because of their not wearing helmets then the
taxpayers shouldn't have to shoulder the responsibility for their medical care. Treat
them, heal them, and then hold them responsible for the cost ... even if it means
getting a judgment against them and seizing every asset they have to reimburse the
taxpayers. They made the decision not to wear a helmet ... they suffer the
consequences.

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT

A monthlong investigation by The Washington Times, which included interviews with
immigration-enforcement officers from Washington state, California, Arizona, Texas and
Florida, found that the vast majority of illegal aliens flooding into America an
estimated 1 million a year draw little attention once they pass through the "border
region," which extends about 60 miles into the United States.

A total of 2,300 federal agents are assigned the task of detecting, detaining and
deporting the millions of foreign nationals illegally in this country, who besides
draining billions of taxpayer dollars a year pose a potential terrorist risk in the
post-September 11 world.

Nearly half of the 48 al Qaeda terrorists tied to violent acts in the United States
between 1993 and 2001 committed significant immigration-law violations prior to those
events but were never detained or deported, federal records show.

...Taxpayers each year spend more than $7 billion to educate the children of illegal
aliens, $1 billion for health care and emergency treatment, and nearly $3 billion to
detain illegal aliens in state and local jails, according to congressional reports and
studies by immigration groups and several universities. . . . But thousands of
illegals enter the country every day, aided by a growing political movement that has
guaranteed them not only a deportation-free environment but voting rights, driver's
licenses, social services, housing assistance and in-state college-tuition breaks.
