A couple random thoughts to start today’s newsletter… First off, the second day back from vacation is always worse than the first. First day back, you brag about what you did; in my case, a great vacation at a cozy ski resort in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Day two, you realize the next vacation is a long way off. Oh well.
Second random thought… Football is the greatest game in the world, but college football gives us the worst ending in all of sports. Almost all the bowl games are glorified exhibitions. What a joke! We play exhibition games to start a season. We should end with games that matter in America. By the time the ‘so-called’ title game hits January 8th, who cares?! All right, let’s get down to business. I love it when you guys call into the show. Certainly I like talking to our guests, but you really make it go. And the guy didn’t appear to be a threat. This happened on Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). If you can stomach it, we have the disturbing cell phone video of the shooting. I’m gonna ask our law enforcement analyst Mike Brooks… what could this guy have been thinking? And I will ask a lawyer who defends cops what punishment this guy faces for killing a 22-year-old and who is also the father of a four-year-old. So sad. What’s up with Roland Burris?
