From Ken Anderson:

Mark,

The police state continues its ramp-up. Via Slashdot, some fellow in
Seattle was arrested for taking a picture of an open ATM being serviced by
Loomis dudes. The servicing happened in broad daylight "in front of
dozens of people." Pictures of ATM insides are not difficult to find on
the internet (here, for instance,
http://cuesskybox.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/11/28/enabled_atm.jpg).

Considering that he has the photo and published it on his website, the
ostensible concern over the security of "trade secrets" or whatever the
hell the Loomis clowns were claiming is an obvious joke. The episode -- as
they often do in these situations -- almost instantly became one of
control and authority assertion -- the premise and the goal of any police
state. Once the cops showed up, well, you have to know that it would take
too long before on went the cuffs, police unamused by backtalk. As a
self-proclaimed "anarchist," its surprising the guy didn't get tased.
