Doctors themselves have worn inappropriate mantles of "SCIENCE" as well when they are no more "scientists" than are roofing contractors or auto mechanics, though often there's considerably more uncorrupted science behind their practices. The white smock is indeed a contrived device intended to get people to associate them with a laboratory, a place few doctors would know their ways around.* *Doctors are far more controlled by insurance and pharmaceutical industry economics than by medical science. Indeed, medical science is increasingly corrupted by both the insurance industry and medical science. Now, the NIH, NSF, and FDA are COMPLETELY dominated by industry appointees who steer the "science" they pay for to people who will give them the results they desire. Industry dominated science is more about rubber-stamping what is profitable for industry than anything else. They KNOW where to send grant money for what kind of research; they know where their people are.* *Drug companies too know where to send their new molecule for clinical trials. They regularly leave critical variable out these trials because they know it's their molecule's deadly Achilles' Heel. Guys like me who point out that its useless to conduct a clinical trial without measuring that variable are warned once, then fired. "STFU. If we don't take this trial the way they sent it, they'll send the trial down to ACME SRO down the street along with the $4 MILLION dollar check. THAT is how bad "science" is.* *No drug has less "science" behind it than a damned vakscene. They aren't even tested against placebos or proper controls. Unlike other FDA-regulated drugs, the system for following up on adverse events catches less than 1% of estimated AE's BY DESIGN and doctors are discouraged from reporting AE's by fear of being labeled "Anti-Vakscene".* *Finally, it's DAMNED difficult to get money to get funded to do studies that might reflect negatively on ANY profitable industry.* *Hence, when you see a negative study, you are looking at somebody who has seen something they feel so strongly about it they are willing to risk their entire career to report it because that's exactly what you're doing when you seek to publish "science" that shows a vaksene, pesticide, or wireless radiation is causing physical harm. On the contrary, the guy who did the "Vakscenes are Safer Than Mother's Milk!" study is waiting for his promotion and next $10 MILLION grant from Pfizer.
