The web host for the main http://www.dowire.org site is changing today.
This should not effect (but might) the active DoWire Groups online communities of practice hosted at http://groups.dowire.org on GroupServer by the good folks at OnlineGroups.Net. In addition to the web host move, DoWire Groups is receiving a bit of a face lift and fix-up as well. Folks will now be able to share files via e-mail (not just uploading via the web), request contact with other members, etc. Due to my all consuming focus on building out the infrastructure for E-Democracy.Org, these many-to-many spaces will become more prominent on at DoWire.Org. Instead of primarily blogging announcements through a middle man (me), I'll be encouraging more direct announcement sharing in various communities of interest. Preliminary heads-up: That said, I will need to find organisations and individuals willing to help sponsor each DoWire Group forum (with money to cover/enhance the open source technology or volunteer time as co-hosts which has work extremely well with the UK E-Democracy Exchange) on a yearly basis.
