I am also interested in knowing about special features they offer to give their package a competitive advantage that support: 1. E-mail newsletters 2. Personalized e-alerts on new content (like Google News Alerts) 3. Blogging across org (like e-official blogs) 4. Any integration with YouTube, Vimeo, Livestream, UStream, etc. 5. Any integration with Facebook and Twitter - Like check this box to notify your Facebook page about this new content 6. Any enhanced public meeting document disseminiation options 7. Special tools for officials to sort/better respond to constituent communication (does anyone support auto-confirmation that assign a customer service confirmation number to incominh web form or e-mail notes?) 8. An address look-up to find your local council members 9. Rather than end the conversation with a local government at the - our website doesn't support that response - get them to agree to ask their CMS provider why not and note that the next time they bid they will be looking for such features. (This does beg the question what percent of local government still have static HTML websites - ironically they may be ideal competition fostering folks.)
