2014

Hello:
On *Monday, June 16, 2014 from 9:30am - 11:30am EST*, The GovLab Academy
<http://openinggovernment.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1a990feb5c&id=1e1df776e6&e=b611f35561>will
host its second online “unconference” to bring together leaders and
practitioners of *crowdlaw*, including online legislative drafting and
constitution writing organizers and platform creators.
This is the second opportunity we are organizing to learn from one another
about what works, what doesn’t and what to do better to promote the
institutionalization of crowdlaw.
The session will be broadcast using the Hangouts on Air
<http://openinggovernment.us6.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=1a990feb5c&id=cfe6585840&e=b611f35561>
platform, which allows for questions to be submitted from the viewing
audience. You can RSVP for and join the session by simply clicking the *Hangout
link
<http://openinggovernment.us6.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=1a990feb5c&id=65c0cd876d&e=b611f35561>*
.
In this peer-to-peer learning event, crowdlaw implementers from seven
differnet countries will share their experiences and join in a conversation
to talk about:
- *Design*: What makes for successful Crowdlaw projects: what works,
what doesn’t
- *Incentives*: How to encourage people to participate?
- *Impediments*: What are the legal, cultural, technological and other
obstacles?
- *Metrics*: How to measure what works and demonstrate both legitimacy
and effectiveness?
The session will feature short, introductory presentations from those
participating as well as unstructured discussion drawn from questions
submitted by viewers. * We invite you to tune into the event on Monday *and
submit any and all questions you have to the Q&A or to @TheGovLab
