Juli 2015. Open innovation assumes that firms can and should use external ideas as well as internal ideas, and internal and external paths to market, in order to advance their technology. Open innovation, therefore, encourages organizations to search for solutions outside their organizational boundaries. Implementing open innovation in the public sector have a myriad of positive effects, including increased awareness of social problems, more effective practices based on broad citizen experience, and increased trust between government and citizens. At the core of the concept of open innovation in the public sector lies the active involvement of citizens into public sector activities. This involvement is often referred to as co-creation and co- production. Recently these terms have gained a renewed interest as a result of technological developments, which have given citizens more control, allowing for new ways of interaction and involvement, particularly in public services delivery. JeDEM encourages scientific papers as well as case studies, project descriptions and reflections. Guidelines for authors and template can be found here: http://www.jedem.org/announcement/view/16 Contact: [email protected] ********************************************************* [3] Call for Participation - PerPart 2015: '2nd International Workshop on Pervasive participation' The 2nd International Workshop on Pervasive Participation: PerPart 2015, September 8th, Osaka/Japan seeks to discuss the various requirements, opportunities, challenges and impact of novel concepts for advanced citizen e-participation based on the pervasive computing paradigm utilizing latest mobile technology such as feature-rich smartphones and wearables and appliances embedded in today's technically enriched urban surroundings. PerPart aims to provide an extensive outlook on relevant concepts, innovations and research issues in the field of advanced technology-mediated citizen participation. Thus, we plan to examine Pervasive Participation from various angles and to uncover the interdisciplinary challenges of creating feasible, efficient, and user-accepted Pervasive Participation methods. https://goo.gl/aNEQFe ********************************************************* [4] Call for Papers - I3E 2015 Conference: 'Open and Big Data Management' The 14th IFIP Conference on e-Business, e-Services and e-Society (I3E 2015) will be organized in Delft sponsored by IFIP TC6 WG 6.11. Information economy and openness are the dominating terms over the last couple of years. Data has become widely available and many innovations are based on the utilization of data. The Internet of Things (ToT) enables the availability of large volumes of data, whereas people create data using social media. Today we have a worldwide exchange of data and this influences our society, resulting in new business opportunities and new services. This already has resulted in the rise of ‘data science’ which aims at better understanding how to use all this data in our information society and how it can co-evolve with its information and communication technology (ICT). This needs to make the theory of complex systems applicable to the information society: https://goo.gl/iuMW26 ********************************************************* Kind regards, Center for E-Governance Danube University Krems ********************************************************* To UNSUBSCRIBE from this mailing list, follow this link: http://egov.donau-uni.ac.at/mailman/options/edem _______________________________________________ Edem mailing list [email protected] http://egov.donau-uni.ac.at/mailman/listinfo/edem ―― View topic http://groups.dowire.org/r/topic/5oMlxD1RYzjrkQC6nxnyKh Leave group mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Unsubscribe
