Dear Colleagues, Making All Voices Count recently announced a call inviting governance practitioners, tech innovators and researchers working in citizen voice and government responsiveness & accountability to apply for research, evidence-building and learning grants. The programme is particularly interested in receiving applications for research and learning that will contribute to the action plans and progress of countries in the Open Government Partnership. We are interested in funding applied research in/on Making All Voices Count’s priority countries (Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, the Philippines, Indonesia) which identifies or scopes issues, or provides useful background evidence, for either: i) OGP member governments to include in their National Action Plans (NAPs) <http://www.opengovpartnership.org/how-it-works/action-plans> or ii) Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) <http://www.opengovpartnership.org/independent-reporting-mechanism> researchers to use in their independent assessments of governments’ progress in implementing NAPs, which will then get considered and taken up by governments in future iterations of the NAPs. Please circulate the email below to your networks who may be interested in applying for a Research and Learning Grant, and help build an evidence-base in transparency, accountability, participation and technological innovation. Best wishes, Catherine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Catherine Setchell Research Communications Officer, *Making All Voices Count* Institute of Development Studies, Brighton BN1 9RE, UK Tel: 01273 915 687 *Making All Voices Count: A Grand Challenge for Development http://makingallvoicescount.org/ <http://makingallvoicescount.org/>* *Get involved with Making All Voices Count:* LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/company/making-all-voices-count Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AllVoicesCount Twitter: https://twitter.com/AllVoicesCount ------------------------------------------------------------- [image: http://www.adfireworks.nl/hosting/20140711_makingallvoicescount/blank.gif] [image: Making all voices count] [image: http://www.adfireworks.nl/hosting/20140711_makingallvoicescount/blank.gif] New post on Making All Voices Count <http://makingallvoicescount.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d1330db30dd9f99566ba5be55&id=b1b02282c7&e=60e90390bc> : Could evidence from your work contribute to the action plans and progress of countries in the Open Government Partnership (OGP)? ------------------------------ On 30 June, our programme announced a call for research proposals <http://makingallvoicescount.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d1330db30dd9f99566ba5be55&id=f04cf91db5&e=60e90390bc> from practitioners and researchers working in the field of citizen voice and government responsiveness. The purpose is to build a deeper understanding and evidence-base on what works (and what doesn’t work) in using technology for citizen voice, transparency and accountability.
