I love this instinct - reach out, let people know you will be there, and
connect in-person.

As I have traveled over the years, I have found it particularly effective
to set a time and place to meet just before an event. Whether that is a
hotel bar the night before or at an opening reception, but with
instructions to meet near X door, etc. If you meet just ten people who are
kindred spirits at the very beginning if a large event like OGP, they you
multiply the value you get our if networking. All throughout the conference
you can say, hey based on what you are saying you should meet X or Y person
... in fact join us for dinner.

Another good strategy is picking a niche hashtag for your interest area
that you use to say, and here us where we are going for drinks after. It
works IF you are passionate about expanding the circle if engagement.

Good luck at OGP, we need this momentum to continue!

interlocutors.
