1. Paradise Slice:

Boxer David Tua has paid about $NZ7 million for a 51ha farm retreat at
Pakiri, north of Auckland.

The farm is about 5km north of Goat Island marine reserve, near Leigh,
and around 20km from Warkworth.

The former beef farm, dotted with pohutakawa trees, comes with its own
piece of coastline on a white, sandy beach.

Tua's manager, Kevin Barry, said the Samoan-New Zealand boxer had bought
the property as an investment, but intended to live there himself.

The farmer who sold Tua the property, John Matheson, described Pakiri as
a quiet beach community and the perfect place to get away from it all.

The only access is by winding gravel roads. "It will be his own private
slice of paradise."
