From accelerating innovation and developme nt to the growing reliance on AI in high-stakes decision-making\, we face a critical challenge: how do we ensure these systems are aligned with huma n values\, factually reliable\, and governed responsibly?\n\nThis talk exp lores the urgent need for a governance-first ecosystem that empowers devel opers\, researchers\, and policymakers to evaluate\, align\, and manage AI systems effectively. We present a community-driven ecosystem of tools: Ev alAssist\, Risk Atlas Nexus\, FactReasoner\, Benchmark Cards\, and Unitxt —designed to support transparent evaluation\, risk-aware development\, a nd factual reliability. Daly is a Senior Technical Staff Member leading the Interactive AI Group a t IBM Research in Dublin. Her work focuses on Human-Centered Trustworthy A I\, developing systems that align with human values and support collaborat ive decision-making.\n\nShe earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Trin ity College Dublin\, where her research explored social network analysis i n delay-tolerant networks.
