Hello,
I heard and recorded the attached audio in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania about an hour before dawn on Sept. 17. An 11-second clip is attached in which the unidentified call can be heard at about 2 sec and 9 sec. I recall hearing it six times, five of which were picked up on recordings. The attached spectrogram shows the first of the two calls in the wav file. I'm having some trouble placing an ID on this one... I have a few ideas (shorebirds) but any input would be appreciated.
