Hello all, Today, going over all the Dendroica buzzes I've recorded over several nights in August, I could really see just how variable the NFCs of the Yellow Warbler (YWAR) can be (that is if I am correctly identifying these calls). In Washington where I live, I'd assume it isn't too likely other Dendroicas are involved (though always possible). Below is a composite showing 20 of the better examples I have of warbler buzzes. The blue number with each call is its length in milliseconds. If you would like to hear any of these clips, I'd be happy to email them to you. I'd enjoy knowing what others think about the IDs of these calls, are any perhaps other than YWAR?
