Chris, the spectograms I can find of the Red-headed Woodpecker call seem to have a couple layers of harmonics, whereas this just has the one line--perhaps because the bird was at a distance from the mic it didn't catch it all? I'm intrigued by this possibility...not least because these are pretty scarce around here and if I can document their migration that would be cool--as well as a nice addition to the yard list :-)
