After reviewing the 5am-6:35am portion of my recording last night, I had: Swainson’s Thrush—310 NFCs (easily 100+ individuals—53 individuals before they started coming fast and furious) Gray-cheeked Thrush—10 NFCs and individuals Gray-cheeked Thrush/Bicknell’s Thrush—1NFC, one of those steep sloped descending calls that doesn’t get much over 4kHz in peak frequency. Veery—2 NFCs and individuals Black-throated Blue Warbler—8 NFCs (5 individuals) Tseep—5 NFCS (presumed Blackpoll), 2 NFCs shorter, possible Bay-breasted Chipping Sparrow—10 NFCs (8 individuals) Savannah Sparrow—1 NFC Indigo Bunting—4 NFCs and individuals
A handful of others I’m still working on :-) Maximum thrush calling was from about 6:20-6:30am with 195 NFCs Stopped recording at 6:35am with first Carolina Wren song of the morning.
