German and French government agencies and computer security firms including Symantec reported that vulnerabilities in Apple’s software used in the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch could enable potential attackers to embed a malicious code through a specifically designed PDF file and to spy on users’ passwords, text messages, photos, schedules, e-mails and even tap phone conversations. On Saturday, the state-run Korea Internet and Security Agency also called on iPhone users not to open suspicious e-mails or PDF files.
