Hi, Nessus has the capability to do this though it is not an asset management tool (AMT).If *master* (N/W admin) *credentials* are given as input in configured/tuned properly then it scans the network for the softwares installed in each system including its versions and reveals if it is vulnerable.
It might not be as effective as an AMT but it gives an insight to over the network. Regards, Ravi Gopal.
