*EC-Council and ISACA** Sign MOU to Advance the Information Security
Profession*
*Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (May 10, 2011) *- EC-Council and ISACA have signed
a formal memorandum of understanding (MOU) that enables the organizations to
share knowledge and collaborate to advance the global information security
profession.
ISACA is a global association of more than 95,000 IT security, assurance and
governance professionals. It was founded in 1969 and established the CISA,
CISM, CGEIT and CRISC certifications. EC-Council is the provider of various
technical security certifications, including the renowned Certified Ethical
Hacker (CEH) certification, and since 2003, has trained more than 90,000
security professionals, and certified over 40,000 members across 84
countries.
As part of the MOU, ISACA and the EC-Council will collaborate on select
training and educational programs for the benefit of attendees.
Additionally, EC-Council will continue to exempt Certified Information
Systems Auditors (CISAs) from the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) exam and
allow them to directly take the Certified Security Analyst exam to earn the
Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) certification. ISACA will provide
continuing professional education (CPE) credit for ISACA certification
holders who take and pass the CEH exam.
