Hi Chick I am not an expert but Have few queries which might help you in stepping forward in your project
are you planning to do it Windows Specific tool or tool irrespective of OS ? even though mono helps running the .net Applications on Linux and for Mac and other OS. I doubt that .Net applications would work on other OS. Any thing required programming , If you decide what the product should look like , is it a Desktop App or Web App. or a Desktop App uses Webserver for UI ? you have lots of packages , frameworks which helps you in minimizing the lines of traditional coding. Are you planning to integrate flexible application which support any platform or tools developed in particular language? would that be just a common point to access different tools ? or use features of the existing tools to the additional features of your own integration tool? And there would be huge number of challenges in the designing phase.
