Another workaround to this bug is to comment out the "none" entry in /etc/nfssec.conf This was discussed a few months back. As an NFS user, I consider this OpenSolaris behavior to be a gratuitous incompatibility. Even if the OpenSolaris behavior is technically correct (and I am not sure that it is), I think that things should work out of the box, and the client should negotiate sec=sys by default so that NFS works like it has for the last 20 years or so. All you're going to do with this behavior is to drive away potential new users in Linux environments, who will just assume OpenSolaris NFS doesn't work. Is this what you really want? Drew
