Many thanks Robert! Under this premise I've upgraded my storage system and have indeed achieved better NFS performance as a result. As well, I look forward to learning more about the 'fsstat' and 'nfsstat' commands as I was already familiar with the others, though a 'benchmarking' community It wasn't until after my original post I found this link for benchmarking and performance testing of OpenSolaris: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/testing/testlinks/perfbench/ As implied at the above link, I eagerly look forward to the "forthcoming self test facility."
