we had/have similar trouble here, generally due to file locking, the boss thinks this is possibly a timing problem, but since i've been playing on my system i have managed to stop it from happening ...
trouble is i personally don't know dtrace, and the boss hasn't given me his log file ... newer builds suffer from it slightly less ... and machines that are working hard seem to suffer from it less ... we found that if you worked an old machine hard with the gnome desktop it didn't lock up but it did under CDE using firefox in both desktops. in the end we swapped in a sunray (working locally) and that solved the problem (of the user complaining) Jon This message posted from opensolaris.org
