Yes.

At this moment you have two choices.
1. Standalone installation that is totally independent of the existing
normal nfsen instance.
2. Piggyback installation. In this case nfsen-hw does not collect
flow stats but uses the existing capture files.

In both cases the existing nfsen (if any) is not affected.

Of course it is possible to misconfigure the experimental
software in such a way that it destroys your valuable data.

What precisely means this?
Which files were deleted?
Can you restore them?
