Hi,
It seems I'm having issues with the latest snapshots of nfdump/nfsen
running on a Debian system (snapshot-20070208). This is what I now
see when I try to start nfsen
Starting nfcpad: SURFnet.
Starting nfsend
Verification sub hierarchy failed. Expected file
'nfcapd.200702121400' does not exist!
This may indicate an inconsitency between configured sub hierarchy layout
and real layout.
Rerun RebuildHierarchy.pl to fix.
nfsend not started.
This file is missing since I had an issue with the system last night.
So I have a gap. Faking the file didn't seem to help. The suggested
RebuildHierarchy.pl also didn't work:
# perl /data/nfsen/bin/RebuildHierarchy.pl
Configured layout is '0'
Apply new layout to all NfSen profiles:
=> live
=> IPv6
=> multicast
=> RFC1918
=> 6to4
=> Teun
This will reorganize all your data files. You may again rebuild your
hierarchy any time later
Do you want to continue yes/[no] yes
Make sure NfSen is not runnig: shut down NfSen:
Shutdown nfcpad: SURFnet:[no pid file found!].
Shutdown nfsend:[no pid file found!]
Process profile 'live'
Use of uninitialized value in split at /data/nfsen/bin/RebuildHierarchy.pl
line 259.
<etc>
When I try to connect to the webserver I see ...
Warning: socket_connect() [function.socket-connect]: unable to connect
[111]: Connection refused in /data/nfsen/www/nfsenutil.php on line 24
The logging shows:

r '/data/nfsen/profiles/live/SURFnet'

bookkeeper failed.
I'm afraid I'm running out of ideas what I'm doing wrong :-(
