Dear all,
I just uploaded snapshot 20070312. This is most likely the last
snapshot before NfSen-1.3 beta. It contains all relevant features
of NfSen 1.3. All documentation/README files will be updated
for NfSen-1.3-beta, and are not yet available in this snapshot.
Notes on this snapshot:
Besides the bugfixes, reported by users from last snapshot, it
contains the new shadow profiles, as well as the alerting module.
Shadow profiles are like standard profiles, but do not have any netflow
data associated to the profile - therefore does not consume much disk
space. Profiles can now be converted from/to each other style.
In order for shadow profiles and alerts to work, you need to replace
the profiler, which means you also need to install nfdump-snapshot-20070312.
As the profiler now links for efficiency reason directly against librrd,
nfprofile no longer builds by default. Add --enable-nfprofile when
running configure for nfdump. Depending on your OS you may have to add
- --with-rrdpath=.. for configure to find the rrd library.
And last but not least: it's still a snapshot. So do not run it on
critical systems.
