I don't think that the structure I used in my plugin is sufficient for that, as it requires an extra database table for each type of alarm, which would make them hard to maintain. Maybe it is an idea to let the plugins return an IODEF document (possibly with a custom Nfsen extension to include support for filters) when they fire? We could use XLS to transform it to a line in an alert table, to an e-mail or to anything else. It can even be used to directly send alerts to incident report systems (AIRT has support for iODEF).
